Dear Family and Friends,
I’m writing to ask you a favor. My sister Trish could
use your prayers. She was diagnosed with
Colon Cancer last year. After her operation and radiation
treatments things looked good except
for the tumor on her liver. She went to Boston and
they wanted her to go back home to Albuquerque
to work on reducing the size of the tumor. After going
through treatments things were looking better
with a 12% reduction. Well the month before they were
going to operate to remove the bad part of
the liver they found that the cancer has spread. The
liver has tumors on both sides, the colon and the
lungs also have cancer.
The doctors are treating her aggressively with chemo
and that seems to be working. She’s lost her hair
and hopes to get a wig from the Cancer foundation
at the end of the month. Trish also came down with
shingles and has had a lot of sensitivity to her head
and face. She is only 57 years old. She mentioned to
me that her goal is to live at least as long as our
mother who died 1 month before her 60th birthday! I’m
praying that we get to grow older together!
Her friends in New Mexico had a small party to raise
some money for Trish and 2 other friends dealing
with outrageous doctor bills. I know times are hard
for everyone. Trish lost her job just months after she
was diagnosed so money is tight. I thought if I could
get everyone I know to just send a dollar that would
help offset some of the cost. But the most import
thing is your prayers!!!!!
